When the Stars Go Out, Director, Devised play conceived by The Bright Alchemy Theatre Company with script by Stephen Spotswood. Workshopped as a part of the Kennedy Center Page to Stage Festival amd subsequently presented under a money and space grant from the Cultural Development Corporation. Presented in the Mead Theatre Lab at Flashpoint in Downton Washington DC, 2011.

F@#king Up Everything, Director, Regional Premiere of a New Musical by Eric Davis and Sam Foreman. Co-produced by Off the Leash Productions in NYC and The New Musical Foundation in Washington DC and performed at The Woolly Mammoth Theatre in Washington DC, 2011.

In the Beginning, Director, play with through-composed score conceived and written by Marizelda S. Eggertsson with underscoring and Saxophone solos composed by Italian composer Armando Ghidoni. Movement based work featuring classic French pantomime and Lecoq techniques. Production work-shopped at The Catholic University of America in Washington DC in 2011, with touring locations to include the East Coast and Europe.

A 501(c)3 nonprofit theatre company dedicated to bringing professional theatre at affordable prices to Rockville, Olney and the greater DC region.
Primary Duties: Curate season in collaboration with the producing director, hire and manage both salaried and temporary artists/staff, provide principal artistic vision both the board and employees, cultivate a positive public relations profile with press and collaborators, seek out and secure funding, plan and oversee production budgets, co-produce season.

Opera Alterna, Washington DC
Co-Founder/Artistic Director/Board Member (respectively), 2007-2011
A non-profit opera company dedicated to presenting modern and re-imagined classical operas and producing them in such a manner that they are relevant to contemporary audiences.  Primary Duties: Curate season in collaboration with the board of directors, hire artists, plan and oversee budgets, share producing responsibilities with managing director, maintain public relations.

Corporate Production Manager, Los Angeles and Washington DC, 2000 to 2007
Production manager and consultant for corporate and theatrical venues; Produce events; hire artistic and technical staff; manage volunteer workers; Manage creative and technical teams; develop and work within budgets ranging from $1,000-$50,000; most recent event was The National Alzheimer’s Association Fundraiser Gala in Santa Barbara, CA which had a million+ (total)budget and featured A-list celebrities and politicians.

Geffen Playhouse (LORT B), Los Angeles, CA
Education and Outreach Associate 2005-2006
Produce professional children’s theatre to be performed in-house and on tour; hire outside professional children’s theatre to fill gaps in season; create educational materials for local schools and NPO’s; organize touring schedules; recruit and coordinate volunteer staff; plan and execute special events.

Hope Community Church, Santa Barbara, CA
Creative Director, 2003-2005
Provided principal leadership and vision to all creative programs including stage production, video production, graphic design, web development, and marketing venues; produced all artistic programs and productions; principal director of plays and videos; recruited, and led volunteer creative/technical teams, managed up to four employees and 80+ volunteers.

Artistic Director and co-creator of Theatre Gone Wild, 2001-2003
Activley participated in creation of award winning non-profit educational theatre program with a $250,000 budget; provided creative direction and vision for acting ensemble and program; chose season and commissioned new plays; worked closely with the producer to hire actors and designers; responsible for directing and rehearsing repertoire of nine to twelve plays; recruited, trained, and implemented volunteer technicians; coordinated touring venues and artists.
