About the Opera

Padrevia is sung in English and runs Approx. 50min.
A tale from Bocaccio's Decameron is the basis for this opera

King Tancred lives in isolation with his daughter Gismonda in the ruins of Castle Padrevia. Isolation become loneliness for the princess until she meets the gardener Guiscardo, recently hired to work at the court. He awakens her to the possibility of a life lived with love without condition, but her father the king discovers their love and in puts an end to it in his own depraved way.

All tickets for the opera are $15 and can be purchased by clicking the above link or by calling 866/811-4111.  In addition, there is a one-time Capital Fringe Festival button fee of $5, which is required to get into any Fringe Festival venue and can be purchased for cash at the door or at the festival box office.
