About the Opera

Magnum Opus is sung in English and runs Approx. 60min.
The opera is about Robert, a struggling playwright who undertakes a Faustian bargain with a sexy Greek Muse and trades his sanity for creative inspiration.  Driven by his desire to please his wife Claire and succeed as a writer, he risks his life in return for his Magnum Opus.

All tickets for the opera are $15 and will be for sale after June 23rd at www.capitalfringe.org or by calling 866/811-4111.  In addition, there is a one-time Capital Fringe Festival button fee of $5, which is required to get into any Fringe Festival venue and can be purchased for cash at the door or at the festival box office.

Getting to the Opera

All performances will be on the Warehouse Theatre's mainstage located at 1021 7th St NW Washington, DC 20001.

Parking: If you can't find street parking, there are several surface lots that cater to Convention Center attendees, plus an underground parking lot in the office building south of us on 7th St. - between I St. and Mass Ave.

Metro: » MT. VERNON SQ. (Green/Yellow Lines): 1 Block – walk south on 7th St. GALLERY PLACE – Chinatown Exit (Red/Green/Yellow Lines): 4 Blocks – walk north on 7th St.
